I'm gonna pop some tags..

As I have mentioned, I took my friend op shopping for the first time. She doesn't quite get the whole op shopping gist of finding something fab for a cheap price. Poor girl found an average dress for $20. I on the other hand only found music CD's and records. I did however find a plush faux fur coat but it didn't have a price tag on and I didn't want to ask the assistants because at this particular store they are quite snobby. I have two already, I guess I didn't need another especially in our current 30+ degree celcius heat! What I found was just a few cheap $2 albums but what I'm most proud of was a "Big Mouth Strikes Again/Money Changes Everything/Unlovable 12" EP by The Smiths for a whopping...wait for it... $1! You only ever see this happen to other people, hah. I was very happy with this find, kudos Salvation Army.

In other happenings during this week, as you probably know that it's Paris Haute Couture Week and all I've been trying my hardest to stay awake and such crazy times to have the first look at what my most favorite High Fashion designers have got to offer. First was Raf Simmons for Christian Dior at 1AM which was well worth the wait and held my expectations of the collections.

Luckily yesterday I caught Chanel Haute Couture just as I finished wordk. Chanel Haute Couture S/S 2013 felt like ethereal snow angels. The two brides and child (apparently Karl Lagerfeld's nephew) was especially breath taking like Lindsey Wixon's closing dress at F/W Haute Couture 2012/13. The rest of the collection wasn't far behind.
The make-up also help up amazing standards featuring intricate tulle pieces to create a smokey effect around the eye and then a neutral/pale face. Absolutely stunning!

I am currently waiting upon Jean Paul Gaultier which is going to start in 2 or so hours and then Valentine and finally Maison Martin Margeila which shows in the wee hours of the morning so I'm not sure if I should have an all nighter or set an alarm. I do have work quite early tomorrow, I'll have to see how I feel after Jean Paul Gaultier. I have also picked up a few new favorites along the way including On Aura Tout Vu and Ulyana Sergeenko who makes me want to take a summer holiday Picnic at Hanging Rock style.. but without the disappearing and stuff.

I hope you've been enjoying Paris Couture Week as much as I have.

much love x
